Project Overview & Objectives

The AIMA Immigration Legal Clinic & Support Desk is NRNA NCC Portugal's flagship social assistance campaign designed to help Nepali migrants navigate Portugal's evolving residency and labor regularization framework.

With regular changes in immigration policies (including transitions surrounding Article 88/89 of the Foreigners Act), thousands of applicants face paperwork ambiguities, tax synchronization delays, and appointment challenges.

Our team of accredited legal advisors, volunteer translators, and community paralegals conducts free, bi-weekly consulting clinics in Lisbon and regional coordinating centers in Porto and Algarve.

Key Project Deliverables

Free personalized review of AIMA interview dossiers (NIF, NISS, employment contracts, criminal background apostilles).
Certified Portuguese-to-Nepali document translation assistance for court and hospital proceedings.
Emergency legal defense for workers in agricultural belts (Odemira, Alentejo, Ribatejo).
Coordination with Portuguese labor inspection authorities (ACT) and High Commission for Migration (ACM).
